gnome garden set x 3!

Nothing like an order to set the assembly line productivity!
Here are the gnomes for the garden gnomes playset.

a great place to hang.

And when you're tired, just take a nap. that pillow looks a little hard though!

Here they are all spread out. (Geesh, did I take any in focus pictures today? I dislike the inability to take pictures outside)

And now they are closed up and ready to travel.

Fun times ahead for these 3 girls!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

GIveaway winner!!

WOW! Thanks to all who commented and became followers to my little world! It was astounding the response and kind words you gave. Alas, I don't have enough for all of you, so I let random Generator choose for me:

Having some trouble getting the picture of it here.
It was 423. Winner is Amy from Radseams Congrats! I'll send you an email.

Please send me your mailing address so I can get it in the mail ASAP. Probably won't get it for Christmas, but better to have than to have not, yes?
Here is a pic of the winnings

I never was able to get a picture of the doll sling in action. My model is STILL sick. fever, napping, whining, cough, snuffles etc. at least it's not barfing etc. k, enough of that.
So here is the picture from the pattern that belonged to a friend's grandmother. I'm planning on doing a tutorial for this with my amendments for doll sizes of today. Maybe after Christmas. Quickest, easiest doll sling around. And I've been looking for a year or 2.

Once again, thanks for your words. Come back again, I have a few more ornaments to show you.

another rainbow playset

apologies for the dark pictures on a gloomy day. at least it's not raining now.

This one is a little too much red. think i'll switch the gnome up for blue and have a different colour flower instead of the red heart. yes?

why not have fun with the stacker?

And it fits in the bag...

Ready to take out the door when you go...

You want an elf with that santa?

You know it had to happen.

Elves!

And aren't these tress just perfect for that computer geek of yours? Mine found these kits and made some for the kids. I sent him back out to buy more to have at my table this weekend. Think of it, perfect for that little something for your guy, computer teacher, computer fixer, the nerd, the techie, the guy that got dragged to the sale and is looking interested as his missus looks at stuff.

And here's the happy family. eyes. I think the elves need eyes. After all, they have to see who's naughty and who's nice.

Have a good one,

Moon Landing

A little friend of mine had a birthday yesterday. I wanted to make something special for his great imagination..

We have landed.

A bit of fleece and some swirls of the sewing machine, you have a good moon landing.

One that has it's own carrying case...

Prepare for take off..

Blast off!

And you can hang it while you go off on another adventure!

Happy Birthday K!!! Hope you had a wonderful, adventure filled day!

She lived in a big high tower...

And here is the female version of the little pals.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long hair.

Some fun stuff.

Sorry, not much to say today. I have a big chunk of time alone today. (which I find odd and hard to get motivated) I want to be productive, so I better get up from here and just go do something.

Have a good one,

going on a rocketship

in the midst of a week long clean/purge/rearranging of my craft room, I just had to clear a spot to work on this guy.

Here is the lineup of how it evolved!

A few tries on the pattern and using inferior materials before committing to my beloved wool blend felt.

The final ship is left sewn on the outside. When I turned it inside out with seams on the inside, it would stretch the felt at the bottom and I couldn't get a nice point on the top. So I decided to leave it as is.

BLAST OFF!!!!

did someone say pirates?

I decided that making bendy pirate dolls for the eye patches was too time consuming. So I made pirates from the wooden doll pegs.

Some are in progress. Here they sit with their neighbours.

Notice the pirate on the left is snuggled in his patch lower. I had to make it a little longer to fit the pegs.

Daughter wanted a picture of the patch around her neck...

And a picture of her tights. :}

Capt'n RRRR

In the land of bendy dolls, the pirates have taken over!

Pirate bendy doll can be found here at
Princess Nimble Thimble

As I can't make a pirate play set in the lines of the mermaid set at the moment, I made a wearable pouch in the lines of
gnome in a leaf pouch

But my favorite part is that the pouch can be an eyepatch!!
Clever husband of mine suggested it. There are a few boys around here, so I'm doing an assembly line of pirates.
Look out matey! There may be a pirate attack shortly!

needle felted shapes

We have a new addition to our mermaid family..

A pink wee one to be doted upon. she has been loved and ooed and aahed over muchly.

I also got a bit of an ah-ha moment in the Bulk Barn! ha. Running down the aisles, I must have paused to think or something. it was next to the cookie cutters. The gingerbread cutters jumped out at me. Christmas!

That's as far as I've gotten with it. Should I go purist and only do needle felted ones? Put buttons on them and some ric rac? Some of each to please the masses? What? What? Guess I should ask that question when i make some samples first. you can vote. And yes, I meant to focus on the gingerbread, but the camera didn't. oh well.

And some flowers I was wanting to put on dowels as wands, but not sure how to attach. Any advice?

Like the new colours I got from Gemini Fibres? They are an online company too.

Have a good one!

Mermaid play set

I'm so excited to show you what's in the box...

Would you like to come in for a dip? Hang out on my needlefelted star cushion?

Have a little look the the treasure shell? Maybe go up to the castle later?

it's such a nice evening out.

I was inspired by the play sets at Little Red Whimsy So cute. When I saw these purse like boxes on sale for less than $3 at Michael's, I took all three.
The inspiration for the mermaids come from
Princess Nimble Thimble

It was so much fun making this. I got lost in the scene of it. Don't you love when that happens?! The sandcastle in the back is a scrapbook sticker.

I made a bendy Pirate doll for Rafael. He has requested a pirate play set. He has good suggestions for it too!
Stay tuned.
