beaded flower

Good Mornin' to ya!! promises to be a great day here in Sunny Toronto. We're off to the inlaws to celebrate my DH's birthday.
last night I took him out for a surprise evening. Started with a date at the sushi place we often frequented as a couple without children. Remember that life? Then I whisked him off to see the musical Crazy for You. it was put off by a group I used to sing with before I was a person with children. My other life. Nice night for sure.

Anyhow, on to why you're here:

I saw a pack of beaded flowers at Michael's and thought, I can make those. So I tried it. These beads are bigger than the ones they had, but it's all I had. I like it. Just covered a little notebook and took the paper out of the silver rim. nothing too exciting, but something to show you.

Have a great one.

notebook

Howdy!
Finally have some internet connection. it's been off and on all day.
We went to my father in law's for lunch to celebrate Valentine's. So I whipped up this little notebook to add to my sister in law's gift. The book was already spahkly. It's from Michael's. I just sewed the flowers together and glued it on the front. Added a few pieces of ribbon to the coil. Easy peasy.

After lunch, we took the kids to the outdoor skating rink. My son has only been out 4 times and is getting around the rink. Not whizzing, mind you, but the can go on his own without supervision. This is great, as my daughter is on bobskates and needs lots of help. :}
I donned my skates and took her for a ride. I haven't skated in 9 years! They were a little rusty, but I managed to wear them in a bit.

Hope you had a great Valentine's day. I'm going to put on a sweater (chilled to da bone I tell ya) and go play in my room.

ginger notebook

whew! I survived the large crowd at my Church's craft morning. We did 3 projects and the ladies worked really hard on them. It was fun. A large number of them let loose on card making. no specifics, no guidelines and no proper glue!, well, not enough proper glue. I only brought partial 3 bottles. What was I thinking for 30 women? lol Dorothy to the rescue! Thanks Dorothy! You're a gem. I may have converted a few of them.

So this little notebook came from the dollarstore. I think there were 4 to a pack. Just a piece of paper from the scrap box for the front and a little ribbon and stamp. Think next time, I'll make the mat black for a bit of pop,

Must make a few cards for my upcoming class on Sunday, so stay tuned.
