Pooh
Here's what took a whole 30 minutes to come up with. Yeah, slap a piece of pattern paper down, stamp the image, colour the image, punch the image, mat the image, stick it on the card, ribbon, and a little tag. Oh yeah, it doesn't have enough. Quick, add something else. Corners. Yeah, not really coming together. Think I'll go to bed.
Wait... what's this paper?? Scrap pile to the rescue!
Then you get this. The card base is folded into thirds. The front was a little short, so I used my corner rounder to make the scallop edge. Black cord is from the jewelry section at the dollar store and the heart is also. Pattern paper is retired cerise from SU. There we go. Much better. my mojo has been redeemed! lol
I bought the Pooh Stamp at a 2nd hand sale. Not sure of the maker. I'll check later.

A boy and a truck
Well, I haven't been in my stamp room for a few nights. And I even got my Papertrey order today with the new cardstock, ribbon and DP. No brain to create. I'm expecting my SU order tomorrow, so maybe I can get some inspiration from the Easter Stamps.
So here is what I have to share. I took these pictures of my son this past summer. (seeing him in no shirt on this cold day of windchill of -28C makes me shiver). These trucks are parked outside of the distillery district. He was in a funny mood and played along with the camera snapping mother. Just a little ham No?
I really would like to scrapbook this series. I have more shots, but I don't know what kinds of embellishments to put with it. No idea of a theme or where to even start. I just LOVE the feeling of the photos and the colours of the trucks.
SO, If you have any ideas, please share! :}

the bellas continue
Here are a few more bellas I've been working on. After revisiting my bella collection, I've decided that I need more. Have you seen all the new lines that Emily at Stamping Bella has out. Cute stuff. Love the girlie and her elephant series.
This peekaboo cosmobella is a one off. Too time consuming lining everything up. But I'm glad I continued with it.
And the cosmobella and flowahbella are on a simple layout. No embellishments or anything. Now that was hard. I like the clean-ness of the card.

onesie baby card
Aren't these adorable?
The tutorial can be found at
http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ Feb. 5 entry. You can also find it in the tutorial link on her website. She has awesome stuff.
I didn't have the correct sized circle punch. It's the size smaller and makes only a little difference. They are quite easy to make, but each time I would glue those tiny leg ruffles on before I trimmed the card for the arms. Don't do this people. Pain in the butt. Sometimes I have a slow learning curve. Duh.
These can be used as a congrats or as a baby announcement with a pic and all the info inside.
The images on the girl card are from Michael's buck 50 bin. And the image on the boy card is from SU's Sale-a-bration catty.
Have fun making them. The choices are endless.

Javabella
My sister in law wants some bella cards, so here is one design I have so far. (Mishie, I hope to have a few more by Sunday)
It's the same layout as the entry below, but using Javabella and the HB scallop stamp from Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration.
The DP is Berry bliss. yummy.
It's so easy to whip cards together once you've done the design before. I think I'll go back and find other layouts that I liked and just go with those for awhile. It's hard to be productive when it takes you the whole night to come up with a design. So I'm gonna feel a little productive tonight, instead of creative.
Oh, and tomorrow I have a great baby card that can be used as a birth announcement or congratulation.

Always in sky blue
I LOVE this card. the colours, the image and the layout. Isn't it great? It's not my idea. I cased it from
zanynotcrazy.blogspot.com the Jan 19/08 entry.
All SU supplies..Sky blue CS, ginger blossom DP, bird from Always set. Jumbo brads and wide grosgrain ribbon.
I made some bella cards tonight with the same layout. I'll take pics and post it tomorrow.
This layout is a classy one.

More sibling love
I really liked this picture of the kids, so I decided to make these cards for immediate family for Valentines. Of course, they are not finished, and I still have to get them to the post office. That takes the longest time of all. lol
So if you are family, your surprise is ruined.
No stamping! The card bases are 5.5x5.5 from the Embossed box at Michael's. Prima's are from my LLS and the rhinestone centres are also from Michael's.
I'm too zonked to say anymore than this.

Valentine love
ok, it's between a brother and a sister. Love is the theme today.
These kids are having so much fun lately. It's so nice to see them interact with each other. And for my daughter to initate a lot of the play. They do have a great laugh.
I got the idea for weaving from my friend, Sarah's blog at www. sarahiscrafty.com
The designer paper is from a huge slab one of my customers gave me. I don't know who it's by, but I do know that I had previously bought some of the paper by the sheet from the LSS.
The white heart and love sentiment are chipboard with seafoam EP. This fridge magnet is for daddy's filing cabinet at owrk. Apparently, his office at his previous job only had 1 card made by my son and a mug with their pic on it from when my son was less than 3 months old. So this time, his office wil have many pics of the family.
We are smothered in snow here. I haven't seen so much in the city since the big storm of 99. Good thing we have a part of the driveway to pile it in. But I'm parked on the street and a little snowed in. Haven't even been able to gear up to go to the grocery store. That's bad. DH stops by now and then, so we're not too bad.
alrighty then, look who's been Chatty Cathy. lol

groovy guava time well spent
The 1st card was a case from SU catty, pg.140, just the 2 of us card.
Wasn't all that pleased with it, then came up with the bottom card. I'm kind of limited with my colours at present as my SU order got delayed by a train problem and it's sitting in Windsor, ON. Hopefully it will come tomorrow. (stalk the man in brown).
Then, the card below was inspired by my case. I used acetate as the front face. The image is from retired, Mostly flowers. It coordinates well with the Ginger Blossom DP. The inside sentiment is from the 3rd level hostess set, Time well Spent.
Another night of not being chatty. :}
Enjoy and thanks for looking,
Amanda

Blossom birthday cake
My, my, it's Thursday already!??!?
We had about 30 cm of snow dumped on us yesterday. Today, it was a beautiful blue sky, sunny, warmish day. Just lovely.
This is a card I made last fall. I think I should try the layout with another set to see what I come up with.
The cake image is from a retired SU set. The punched flowers are from retired SU punch and I think the DP is from Chatterbox. I know, not much use to you is it?
Oh well, hopefully my sister got this card by now or that she hasn't read the blog in a while.
I made a cool card last night using acetate for my class on Sunday. I'll get a chance to photograph it in the next day or so.

tooth fairy kits
I thought I had uploaded this already, but I couldn't find it in the side bar. So forgive me if you've seen this here before. And tell me where it is! lol
This kit contains a tin from Lee Valley. The tooth fairy is from Stamping Bella. It is also done on shrink art for the charm.
The charm for the boy kit is a tooth I traced from a wooden tooth box I had. There is only 1 charm per kit.
On the opposite side of the scallop tag, there is an info section:
Name, where, what tooth, how it came out, date, etc.

Amanda

Always hearts
This layout is the same as the Friday, Jan. 25 entry, but I changed the image. In honour of Valentine's day, I used the hearts. They were embossed in different colours, pink and seafoam. The sentiment was stamped on vellum, then the underside was swiped with white craft ink so that it is more visible.
Love this designer paper, Berry Bliss and the Always stamp set.
Guess it's a short post tonight.

photo cube
I wanted to make something for my DH's new office at his new job. So this photo cube fit the bill. Actually, it will probably be a pen holder.
I used cork backed coasters from the dollar store. The lovely cropadile did a fantastic job of punching through those babies.
One of the papers is from Scenic Route, the other from a pad I bought at the LSS.
I printed the photos around 2.5 as the coasters were just over 3.5. I also made the photos sepia toned to create a sense of cohesiveness, conformity. I can't think of the correct word right now.
I looked through my shoe box of rub ons and stickers and was tickled to find just the right sayings. See, there is a reason for buying those things to sit around. Imagine having to go to the store at 11 pm to find something that would work! You must have them on hand, at home. Waiting for you. lol
Instead of using the favoured ribbon that is done, I wanted to make it a little more manly (?) so I used twine to make a blanket stitch down the sides. I still have to figure out how to finish it off inside. Do you put a bottom on these things? Or just insert a can?
Anyhow, it was fun and easy to make. I think I'll make a few more.

Amanda
